Design Brief
For this project, we were tasked with creating a book jacket to represent a story of our choosing. My book was called The Bee and The Butterfly and was about two sworn enemies becoming friends after an unlikely encounter. We first wrote a summary of our story and created a plot for the back of our books as well as to create an image of the plot in our minds. We then created a series of sketches and from there created the book jackets in Illustrator.

My final design uses symbols to allow insight into what my book is about. The colors work together to help the viewer stay engaged and stay on theme with the characters as well.
