There is a lot of misinformation and fear mongering about climate change in the news and world right now. Many people don’t know what to believe and don’t know what to do to help the problem. I believe a lot more people would take climate action if it was clear what they could do to help and if they could see the impact that they were making in real time. For this assignment I aim to make an app that gives people access to factual information and ways to make real change daily. It will give them goals and achievements while also being a source of inspiration and information. Some risks I take with this app is that many people do not believe climate change is real and they don’t think that they personally can make a change.

First we created three personas and scenarios to design a narrative of how users might interact with the product and interface.

I chose the name "Grounded" for my app because it goes along with the theme of the Earth and nature while also having a double meaning of being stable, positive energy and being strong minded. My logo is a sprout coming out of the dirt to go along with the theme of growth in information, and growth in the environment for climate change.
For my fonts I chose Dunkel Sans Rounded and Rubik because I wanted two fonts that were cohesive together but still had the same message. Dunkel Sans Rounded communicates a fun, yet interesting font that will be intriguing to the audience while also meaning business. Rubik pairs well with this font, being a sans serif, and a good readable font for smaller text.
